Our Green Tea & Lemongrass soap is composed of Matcha Green Tea, which has antioxidant properties, which help to protect the skin from external environmental influences and helping to fight the signs of premature aging. Green Tea stimulates skin microcirculation and hence positively influences the tone and health of the skin. Matcha Tea is lovingly made, with the same love and care we put in our soaps. Several weeks before the harvest the bushes are shaded, this slows down the growth and stimulates an increase in chlorophyll levels, turns the leaves a darker shade of green, and causes the production of amino acids, in particular theanine. The higher chlorophyll level gives our soap this nice green touch. The second main ingredient is Lemongrass. Lemongrass helps to open pores and is great for balancing oilier skin. Whether acne scars or age spots, lemongrass is a great way to lighten those marks naturally. A little lemongrass herb adds some texture to this wonderfully refreshing soap.

For this soap used oils give it an excellent and smooth lather, are gentle and emollient, high in Omega fatty acids, proteins, and Vitamin E, and help the skin to retain its natural moisture as well as attract moisture to the skin, leaving the skin soft and supple. Therefore this soap is particularly suited to sensitive, dry, and mature skin types.

There are no chemical substitutes in this soap, for its coloring only natural colorants are used, like Green Tea and Lemongrass infused oils and Kaolin clay, which brightens the colors and makes the soap more slippery as well as helps to contain the scent notes.

The scent of this soap is composed of various citrus notes like of course fresh, strong, lemon-like, grassy-herbaceous notes from Lemongrass (Cymbopogon cambogiensis), aromatic, fruity, rich scents of Lime (Citrus aurantifolia), intense, fresh, sweet-green, fruity, lemon notes of May Chang (Litsea Cubeba), and sweet, fresh, and lemony, with a soft grassy/green undertone scent of Citronella (Cymbopogon winterianus) which are rounded up with some herbaceous notes like Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) and end up in the citrus-floral-earthy scent of Ylang-Ylang (Cananga odorata) also known as the perfume tree. The perfect mixture of citrus, herbal and floral scents.

Moringa

Many plants or trees bear the name of wonder tree, Moringa (Moringa oleifera/Guilandina moringa) is one of them. Other names of this tree are the horseradish tree, ben oil tree, or drumstick tree. In former times widely used all around the world, the oil won from the seeds of the tree played long time a vital role in the maceration of the french perfume industry, clock makers used the oil also in their masterpieces. In India, where the tree originates from, and in Asia the role was and is a different one, it is used in traditional medicine and as food, which is highly nutritious. Modern science has even found more useful for this plant e.g. for water purification. Moringa has various health benefits for hair and skin. Moringa contains protein, which means it helps protect skin cells from damage.
It also contains hydrating and detoxifying elements, which boost the skin and hair.

It also reduces the appearance of scars, which makes it good for acne-prone skin types.

Tried Moringa leaves powder has been also used in ancient times as an effective soap for hand disinfection, when wetted in advance the anti-septic and detergent properties from phytochemicals in the leaves get activated and remove successful bacteria.


Our soap gets all the possibilities of this plant, the used oils are infused with Moringa leaves and seeds for several days and also Moringa oil (Ben oil) is used to prepare this soap. While powdered leaves are added for the anti-septic properties.
The other used oils have excellent values for the skin give the soap a smooth lather, are gentle and emollient, high in Omega fatty acids, proteins, and Vitamin E, and help the skin to retain its natural moisture as well as attract moisture to the skin, leaving the skin soft and supple. This soap fits oily as well try skin types.

What would be one of our soaps without its scents, for this soap we created a well-balanced herbaceous smell, Basil (Ocimum basilicum) gives it a very green, herbaceous, and sweet scent with a rich balsamic undertone to it comes the cineolic with subtle citrus and peppery-floral overtones notes from Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus radiata). Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia), Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea), and Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) give it more herbaceous and green notes and some woody-peppery notes, while Angelica (Angelica archangelica) rounding it with it rich earthy, green-herbaceous aroma with some peppery top notes and clean, spicy and woody back notes. Coconut & Cardamom

This soap should not be missing from our collection, not because Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum) belongs to the family of Zingiberaceae, where we have already soaps with Ponlei, Avocado & Ginger, Tamarind & Tumeric, but more because it is an incredible scent and has amazing values.
Our Cardamom comes from the eastern slopes of the mountains that even wear its name, where cardamom and pepper in smaller amounts are crowned commercially, cardamom is there also collected in the wild. Chuor Phnom Krâvanh how the Cardamom mountains are called in Khmer is an incredible site with awesome rain forests, one of the last intact in South East Asia and home to the largest Cambodian elephant population and other rare species like the Siam Crocodile (Crocodylus siamensis), the Sunbear (Helarctos malayanus) and Pileated gibbon (Hylobates pileatus).

This spice next to vanilla and saffron counts as the most expensive in the world and is used massively, the Indians drink their Masala chai with it, and the Arabs, which believe its an aphrodisiac, enjoy their Kahwe Arabiyye - coffee with it.
But cardamom has various health benefits also for the skin, it detoxifies the skin and has antibacterial properties that help in healing breakouts and also acts as a skin purifier by clearing out blemishes. It is a natural skin toner that helps in giving you a clearer and evened-out skin complexion. It makes your skin even toned and also can improve your skin complexion, a natural skin toner besides cardamom is full of antioxidants. Besides coconut oil, which is in most of our soaps anyway, this soap is prepared with coconut milk.
Coconut (Cocos nucifera) and its oil have amazing values for your skin.
Coconut cleanses and neutralizes the toxins, fungi, and bacteria on the outer layers of the skin which not only detoxifies but also builds the skin's natural immune system and protection.
It also supports the skin and works to repair the damage it has acquired over time. Coconut is excellent for keeping the skin young and beautiful. Its antioxidant property slows down the aging process by protecting the body from harmful free radicals.

Of course, Coconut oil is used in this soap, which gives the soap a nice lather. Besides that Olive (Olea europeana) oil and Rice (Oryza sativa) bran oil are the majority of the used oils.
These oils have a high content of Moge fatty acids, Vitamin E, proteins, and antioxidants. The oils are smooth and gentle to the skin, leaving the skin soft and supple. Especially Olive oil has an astonishing moisturizing effect and also attracts moisture to the skin.

The scent of this soap is astonishingly oriental: fruity, minty, and spicy with a wooden undertone. It is composed of the spicy-sweet, rich, warm, and highly aromatic notes of Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum), the very warm, diffusive, and spicy-sweet notes of Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum), the sweet and tangy scents from Orange, the powerful, sweet, lively, cool, and minty green notes of Spearmint (Mentha spicata), ginger, and the woody, warm and balsamic scents of Himalayan Cedarwood (Cedrus deodara) notes.

Papaya & Thanaka

Thanaka has been used on the face by Myanmar women for more than a thousand years as a skin care treatment.
Thanaka paste is obtained from the bark or roots of various small trees from the rue family which is common in Southeast Asia, such as the Indian crab apple tree (Limonia acidissima) or the orange rue (Murraya paniculata). Thanaka trees are called Ma-Khwit in Thailand, Ma-fit in Laos, Gelinggai in Malaysia, and Kramsang in Cambodia.
The primary active ingredients in Thanaka are coumarin and marmesin.
Thanaka bark is antioxidant and anti-inflammatory as well as protecting against UV rays, it inhibits tyrosine, the enzyme that triggers melanin synthesis and impacts pores and skin discoloration and therefore gives an even skin tone.

Papaya fruit extract contains vitamins C and E, and antioxidants that lighten your skin, reduce irregular pigmentation, and improve collagen production. Papaya seeds also show anti-aging properties and help prevent fine lines and wrinkles. They are incredibly high in polyphenols and flavonoids, which act as antioxidants. The scent of this soap is a fruity and woody combination. On the top, there come notes from Orange, Grapefruit, and Tangerine with their sweet and citrusy notes.
Thanaka itself has an amazing smell like freshly cut wood in a sawmill, this is combined with the green-woody, balsamic notes from Silver Fir (Abies alba) needles, fresh, woody, resinous, deep green and balsamic notes Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens), very fresh, sweet-balsamic, green, with faint terpenic top notes and woody-green body notes and pine-like undertones of Juniper (Juniperus communis) berries and rounded up with the warm and woody notes from Himalayan Cedarwood (Cedrus deodora), the timber of the gods.

Aloe Vera & Lime

The genus name Aloe vera is derived from the Arabic word alloeh, while vera is the Latin word for true.
Aloe vera originates from the Arabian Peninsula but grows wild in tropical, semi-tropical, and arid climates around the world. There are estimated 420 different species around the world.
In Cambodia it is very common, to have a potted aloe plant before the house.
It's a versatile plant that has many skin benefits. Aloe vera gel can eliminate dead skin cells and treat a variety of skin conditions, including acne, acne scars, sunburns, dark circles, and wounds. Plus, aloe vera gel has amazing hydrating and moisturizing values.

The fruit we all know as lime (Citrus × latifolia), originates in Southeast Asia and spread from there throughout the world via migration and trade.
Limes have several properties that may promote healthy skin. First, they're dripping high in vitamin C.
This vitamin is necessary to make collagen, a protein that keeps your skin firm and strong. But it also helps protect your skin against free radicals, which are responsible for aging.

Next to freshly prepared Aloe vera gel, oils play the main role in each soap. For this soap Olive (Olea europeana) oil, Rice (Oryza sativa) bran oil, and other oils are blended with fresh lime fruits, this infusion rests then for a day before getting filtered and used to create the soap. The used oils help the skin retain its natural moisture as well as attract moisture to the skin. They are high in Omega fatty acids, Vitamin E, proteins, and antioxidants.

The scents we use for this soap can be described as herbaceous and citrusy. There are the warm and herbaceous notes from Tulsi basil (Ocimum sanctum) and the spicy-herbaceous notes from the tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia). To this we add lemony, aromatic, fruity notes from Lime (Citrus Aurantifolia) and the fresh, and lemony, with a grassy undertone, notes from Citronella (Cymbopogon winterianus) as well the pleasant, mild, earthy, and musky smells of Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides).

Golden Silk & Mulberry

During the Angkorian age of the Khmer Empire of Southeast Asia, monks at Buddhist temples made paper from the bark of mulberry trees. This paper was used to make books, known as kraing.
But this is not the only use for the silkworm's favorite food source.
Mulberry (Morus) Leaf is a potent, powerful acne-fighter that clears and tightens pores while rehydrating, refreshing, and detoxifying the skin, leaving you with a smooth, clear complexion. In a study, mulberry leaf extract was found to reduce the production of sebum, which is an oily substance that can clog pores and lead to acne The polyphenols in mulberry leaves help to inhibit the production of melanin, which is responsible for giving skin its color.
So mulberry tea is beneficial for the skin, thanks to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and brightening properties.


Golden silk has run through Cambodia's history for centuries. Cambodia's golden silk is spun from the cocoons of golden silkworms (Bombyx mori), rather than the white ones found elsewhere in the world, which has adapted to the warm tropical climate of northern Cambodia and feeds on a native variety of mulberry. After eating enough fresh mulberry leaves and having four times molted the silkworm enters his pupa stage and builds his cocoon.
Silk cocoons contain fibroin and sericin.
Fibroin gently exfoliates the skin. Even the most sensitive, impure, or acne-prone skin will appreciate this exfoliating caress.
Sericin is rich in amino acids and antioxidants: it participates in the regeneration of skin cells.

Herbaceous, flowery and fruity, can describe the scent of this soap. There are the sparkling, very fresh, sweet, and fruity-tangy notes of Tangerine (Citrus × tangerina), the spicy-herbaceous notes of Tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia), intensely floral, very sweet, tenacious, with a deep richness and a somewhat musky, scents of Jasmine (Jasminum Grandiflorum), the same mulberry odorant called jasmone, which attracts the silkworm. The perfume tree Ylang-Ylang (Cananga odorata) finishes this scent with powerful, intensely sweet, dense, balsamic floral notes.

Mondulkiri Coffee

Mondulkiri is a province located in the northeastern region of Cambodia. It is known for its extensive forests, rolling hills, elephant sanctuaries, and waterfalls. In recent years, the province has also gained recognition for its high-quality and unique-tasting Mondulkiri Coffee. Numerous local coffee farmers use sustainable farming practices to grow their crops. This includes using natural fertilizers, planting shade trees, and avoiding the use of pesticides and herbicides. These practices help to protect the environment and produce high-quality coffee beans.
The coffee is grown at high elevations, which gives it a bright acidity and a complex flavor profile. The coffee beans are frequently described as having notes of chocolate, fruit, and spices.
The caffeine and chlorogenic acids contained in coffee beans can help reduce inflammation due to skin problems such as eczema, acne, and psoriasis.

The scent of this soap is a firework of fragrances and gives it the smell of a good coffee shop. In addition to the coffee and the chocolate scent typical of Mondulkiri coffee, there are other scents like as the warm and spicy scents of Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum), sweet and spicy Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans), opulent, sweet, dense balsamic tones of Vanilla (Vanilla Planifolia), spicy-sweet, rich, warm, highly aromatic and slightly cineolic scents of Cardamom, the fresh, sweet and fruity tones of Orange (Citrus sinensis), and the licorice-like, sweet and spicy smells of Anise (Pimpinella anisum).

Pink Lotus & Jasmine Rice

Rice plays an important role in certain religions and popular beliefs. Step out of the city and you'll find evidence of Cambodians' passion for rice everywhere.
Rice fields are all-present in Cambodia's landscape, bringing their touch of various green and gold shades almost all year long. The heavy rains that the monsoon brings to the country between May and October, coupled with the Mekong and Tonlé Sap rivers flooding, provide fertile soils for rice farming, a form of agriculture that Cambodians have been devoted to for thousands of years. Cambodian rice (Phka Rumduol often referred to as phka malis) can call itself, after being for several years the second best, the best rice in the world, as it earned this title at the TRT rice conference 2022. Instead of water, rice milk, prepared with this quality rice, is used to create this soap.
Rice milk gently polishes, revealing smoother skin for a more youthful appearance.
Rice milk imparts a whitening effect on the skin. It leaves a gentle glow on your face and helps to even your skin tone when used regularly.

The Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) also known as the Water lily, is as well a species with historical, cultural, and spiritual significance.
It is a sacred flower in both Hinduism and Buddhism, representing the path to spiritual awakening and enlightenment.
In Christianity, the lotus flower is often associated with Thomas the Apostle and his coming to India.
It was also an important symbol in ancient Egypt, where it represented the path from death to rebirth to the afterlife.
Lotus is also important in skin care. Lotus flower acts as an anti-acne, anti-wrinkle, skin brightener, anti-bacterial, skin coolant, emollient, and stress reducer agent.

Rice plays also a vital role in the used oils for this soap, as it is prepared with Rice (Oryza sativa) bran oil which is gentle and emollient and is particularly suited to sensitive, dry, and mature skin types, in addition to this Olive (Olea europeana) oil, Sunflower (Helianthus Annuus) which has good moisturizing properties and is high in Vitamin E, Soybean (Glycine Soja), and Coconut (Cocos nucifera) oil, what gives the soap an excellent lather, are used for the creation of this soap. Golden rice bran oil is also a good source of Vitamin E, and antioxidants, it offers wonderful moisturizing values.

Lotus, which plays the main role in the scents, has a dense floral aroma that is earthy and creamy sweet, with a spicy green top note, ripe fruit, and coumarin-like undertones. These floral tones we combine with other floral tones from Jasmine (Jasminum grandiflorum) and the perfume tree Ylang-Ylang (Cananga odorata), the sweet herbaceous, citrusy, and rose-like notes from Palmarosa (Cymbopogon martinii) which we top with some fruity sweet Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) scents.

Ponlei

This soap will create a sense of well-being throughout the day, calm a worried mind, and encourages your sleep at night.
Ponlei ពន្លៃ (Zingiber cassumunara), sometimes also called Punlei, in Thailand called Plai, is in the western world relatively unknown and if then called Thai ginger.
This plant belongs in fact to the ginger family and is a relative to Ginger, Turmeric, and Galangal. The rhizome is also similar in form and shape to ginger, but its color is stronger yellow than that of ginger. The botanical name for Ponlei is Zingiber cassumunar. Plai Oil acts as a natural antioxidant, protecting the skin against the harmful free radicals that hurt skin cells' DNA, leading to conditions like fine lines and skin laxity. This also helps soothe the appearance of redness caused by skin conditions like eczema or rosacea, because of its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. In traditional Cambodian medicine, Ponlei is used to treat amongst other things Dermatitis. Ponlai is stimulating and has a talent for dissolving stagnation and blocked mental energy.

For the making of this soap, Olive oil, Coconut oil, and Rice bran oil next to Sunflower and Soybean oil is infused with Ponlei. After several days of rest, the oil is filtered and later used to create the soap. Olive oil helps the skin retain its natural moisture as well as attracting moisture to the skin, leaving the skin soft and supple. While Coconut oil gives the soap an excellent lather. Rice bran oil is gentle and emollient and is particularly suited to sensitive, dry, and mature skin types. Rice bran oil is high in Omega fatty acids and proteins, a good source of Vitamin E, and antioxidants, and is wonderful moisturizing. There are no non-natural substitutes used in this soap, the golden-yellow color comes directly from the Ponlei-infused oils and a bit of Kaolin clay to brighten the color. The Kaolin clay also makes the soap more slippery and helps to anchor the scents.

The main scent of this soap is of course Plai oil, the essential oil won from fresh Ponlei rhizomes, which is a woody, peppery, pine-like, and slightly camphoraceous note. This scent is rounded up with warm, fresh, sweet, spicy-woody, tenacious undertone notes from his relative Ginger (Zingiber officinale) and warm, resinous, smooth, rich musky, and earthy tones from Frankincense (Boswellia serrata), the oil won from the resin of the Olibanum tree. A warm and fresh scent, with a sweet, spicy-woody, and balsamic undertone - clearly to make you feel good!

An excellent and smooth lather becomes this soap from the oils used in the creation, they are high in Omega fatty acids, proteins, and Vitamin E and help the skin to retain its natural moisture as well as attract moisture to the skin, leaving the skin soft and supple. Avocado & Ginger

Avocado (Persea americana), also known as alligator pears or butter fruit, is nowadays a common ingredient in, not just natural, cosmetics.
Avocados are filled with natural oils that moisturize your skin and they're also an excellent source of vitamins E and C, both of which play a key role in the health and vitality of your skin. By making sure your skin is moisturized, you can prevent blemishes, acne, and above all wrinkles. To Cambodia avocado was coming from the Phillippines in the 1700s and is frequently used for milkshakes and occasionally added to ice cream and other desserts but gained some popularity during the last years.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is one of the first spices to have been exported from Asia, arriving in Europe with the spice trade, and being used by ancient Greeks and Romans, not a wonder, ginger is ubiquitous in all South East Asia and used in many ways. Ginger has many benefits for the skin and is a rejuvenator that helps reduce signs of aging, flushes out toxins, evens skin tones, and leads to more blood circulation.

Coconut oil, Olive oil, and Rice bran oil, next to other oils are infused with freshly grated ginger and left for several days to rest before being filtered and used for the soap. To this infused oil combination avocado puree is added, next to the values of the in the Avocado contained oils, the used oils are high in Omega fatty acids, Vitamin E, proteins, and antioxidants and keep the skin moist. There are no non-natural or chemical colorants used for creating this soap its yellow-green color comes alone from the avocado puree and the ginger-infused oils.

Ginger plays with his warm, fresh, sweet, spicy-woody, and tenacious undertone the major role in the composition of the scent of this soap.
It gets completed by sweet, pungent, clove-like, somewhat bitter green/herbaceous notes from Tulsi Basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum), very fresh, warm, spicy-sweet and a little nutty notes from Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans), diffusive, warm, cineolic, faintly spicy-herbaceous scents from Tea Tree (Melaleuca), and clear earthy aroma becomes deeper with very light smoky notes from Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides).

Coconut & Mango

Coconuts were first domesticated in Island Southeast Asia, the tree thrives on sandy soils and is highly tolerant of salinity, which makes colonizing shorelines of the tropics relatively straightforward.
Coconut (Cocos nucifera) the name comes from the old Portuguese word coco, meaning "head" or "skull".
In Malaysia, the tree is called - pokok seribu guna - the tree of a thousand uses. And so versatile is its use, for culinary uses, coconut meat, milk, water, flour, sprouts, toddy, and sap. The leaves provide material for baskets, from the hard shells charcoal can be made, and timber is also used. One use is the production of oil, already Antonio Pigafetta companion of explorer Ferdinand Magellan, how at Guam "they eat coconuts" and that the natives there also "anoint the body and the hair with coconut and beniseed oil".
